    One of cricket’s most feared white-ball batters currently going around, Heinrich Klaasen co-owns Rotterdam in the ETPL alongside Faf du Plessis and Jonty Rhodes, bringing explosive talent and franchise cricket’s hardest edge to Europe.

    Heinrich Klaasen is one of the most sought after players in T20 circuits. A wicketkeeper renowned for his explosive power-hitting and his rare gift for dismantling spin bowling. Born in Pretoria, he came through the South African domestic system before making his international debut in 2018 and rapidly establishing himself as a match-winner in white-ball cricket. He scored 2,141 ODI runs at an average of 43.69, including an astonishing 174 off 83 balls against Australia. A record-breaking retention in the Indian T20 League by the Hyderabad franchise underlined his status as one of the format’s elite. After retiring from international cricket in 2025, Klaasen joined Faf du Plessis and Jonty Rhodes as co-owner of the Rotterdam franchise in the ETPL in 2026.

    Five-time FIH World Player of the Year and Olympic gold medallist, Jamie Dwyer co-owns the Amsterdam Flames in the ETPL bringing a legacy of winning on the world’s biggest sporting stages to European cricket’s new era.

    Jamie Dwyer is widely regarded as the greatest field hockey player Australia has ever produced and perhaps the finest the sport has seen. A five-time FIH World Player of the Year, he won Olympic gold at Athens 2004, two World Cup gold medals, three Commonwealth Games titles and six Champions Trophy crowns across a 16-year international career. Known for his blistering speed, precision finishing and an extraordinary scoring rate, Dwyer played professionally across Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain and represented his country in over 350 international matches.

    After retiring from international duty, he remained close to sport ownership and development. In 2026, he joined Steve Waugh and Tim Thomas as co-owner of the Amsterdam Flames in the ETPL.

    An all-time cricketing great and India's T20 World Cup-winning coach, Rahul Dravid brings unmatched credibility and vision as the Owner of the Dublin Guardians, committed to growing the game across Europe.

    Rahul Dravid is among the greatest batsmen cricket has ever produced, accumulating 24,177 international runs and 48 centuries across a career that spanned 1996 to 2012. He captained India in 79 internationals and quietly became one of the finest slip fielders of his generation. After retirement, his second chapter proved equally remarkable: he guided India's Under-19 side to the World Cup title in 2018 and then coached the senior men's team to the T20 World Cup in 2024, stepping down as world champion. His connection to European cricket runs deep, in 2003, he represented Scotland in the National Cricket League, scoring three centuries in eleven games. In 2026, Dravid joined the ETPL as Owner of the Dublin Guardians, bringing a rare combination of playing mastery and coaching wisdom to Ireland.

    Cricket's greatest fielder turned franchise co-owner, Jonty Rhodes alongside fellow proteas Faf du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen combine forces to nurture and build the Rotterdam outfit in the ETPL.

    Widely regarded as the greatest fielder cricket has ever seen, Jonty Rhodes, redefined fielding forever. His legend began with a diving run-out of Inzamam-ul-Haq at the 1992 World Cup and it never stopped growing. He represented the Proteas in four World Cups was part of the side that won the 1998 ICC Knockout Trophy. After retiring in 2003, he returned to cricket as a coach winning three Indian T20 League titles with the Mumbai franchise and later working with Punjab and Lucknow. He also served as Sweden's national head coach before joining Faf du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen as co-owner of the Rotterdam franchise in the ETPL in 2026.

    Two-time World Cup winner and legendary Australia captain Steve Waugh co-owns the Amsterdam Flames in the ETPL, driven by a long-term vision to grow cricket in mainland Europe and uphold the spirit of the game.

    Steve Waugh is one of Australia's most celebrated cricketers, a two-time World Cup winner, a Test captain who led his side to unprecedented heights, and one of the toughest competitors the game has known. He scored nearly 11,000 Test runs and captained Australia in 57 Tests, losing just 10. Known for his mental strength and match-winning ability under pressure, Waugh helped define Australian cricket's dominant era of the 1990s and 2000s. After retirement, he remained deeply connected to cricket through philanthropy and development work. In 2026, he joined co-owners Jamie Dwyer and Tim Thomas to back the Amsterdam Flames in the ETPL,  bringing to mainland Europe the same long-term thinking and high standards that defined his playing days. For Waugh, this is about building cricket on the game's last great frontier.

    South Africa's former Test captain and two-time T20 franchise champion, Faf du Plessis co-owns and captains Rotterdam in the ETPL bringing world-class leadership and playing experience to European cricket.

    Faf du Plessis is one of the most decorated cricketers of his generation: a Test batsman of rare temperament, a white-ball captain of fierce conviction and a franchise player who has built a second career as one of T20 cricket's most sought-after leaders. He made 69 Test appearances for South Africa, scoring 4,163 runs at an average of 40.02, including that career-defining debut century at Adelaide in 2012. In franchise cricket, he won two T20 titles with the Chennai franchise in India and went on to captain the Bengaluru outfit. In 2026, Du Plessis joined forces with Jonty Rhodes and Heinrich Klaasen to co-own the Rotterdam franchise in the ETPL and will captain the side in the inaugural season.
